PEGATRON teams with NXP to accelerate vehicles transformed by software

What’s new: Pegatron Corporation (“PEGATRON”, 4938-TW) and NXP® Semiconductors today (May 14, 2024) opened a joint laboratory in PEGATRON Headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan, marking a new milestone in the companies’ collaboration for future vehicle development. The joint lab aims to accelerate Pegatron’s efforts in software-defined vehicles to enable better, safer and more convenient experiences. Pegatron has adopted NXP’s comprehensive electrification portfolio and cross-vehicle system solutions including S32 automotive processing families for automotive EEA (Electronic/electrical Architecture, domain and zonal controllers as well as NXP's i.MX applications processor families for its latest smart cockpit solutions. This solution will be showcased at the upcoming COMPUTEX 2024 on June 4-7, 2024.

Why it matter: According to Spherical Insights LLP, the global automotive industry size is projected to grow from USD 3,564.67 Billion in 2023 to USD 6,861.45 Billion by 2033, at a CAGR of 6.77%. The way vehicles are architected, designed, manufactured and experienced is being transformed by software, but this transformation will be an industry-wide effort, requiring close collaboration between diverse stakeholders. The joint laboratory between PEGATRON and NXP demonstrates the collaboration to accelerate automotive application developments.
